Elegant oriental lilies are a staple in our flower arrangements, with white and pink lilies complementing many other blooms beautifully. Oriental lilies are also loved for their fragrance, and add gorgeous scent to any bouquet.

Lilies have a variety of meanings, depending on the colour and type. White oriental lilies signify purity and rebirth, whilst pink lilies are associated with femininity, compassion, and admiration. Calla lilies symbolise faithfulness and purity.

Lilies are a sophisticated and versatile bloom for many occasions, and are commonly sent as part of romance and anniversary bouquets, as well as birthday arrangements. They are also a classic symbol of motherhood, meaning they are a fantastic choice for Mother’s Day. White lily bouquets are also often used to express sympathy.

Unfortunately, oriental lilies are highly toxic to cats. Even if the cat doesn’t eat the lilies, brushing up against the pollen can cause serious issues if the cat grooms itself afterwards. For these reasons, we recommend that you do not purchase a bouquet containing these flowers for cat owners. Lilies can also cause an upset tummy in dogs, so please keep them out of their reach.

Calla lilies are less dangerous to cats, but can still cause some adverse effects if eaten, especially in large quantities. We recommend keeping calla lilies out of the reach of any pets.

As lilies are prized for their long vase life, it's not unusual for them to last as long as two weeks with proper care.
