Based in Cheshire, Tatton Park is one of the UK’s most complete historical estates. With over 50 acres of landscaped gardens and 1000 acres of deer park it is the idyllic setting for one of, if not, the best RHS annual flower show. This year, Appleyard London were invited down for the exclusive Members Day at RHS Tatton Park Flower Show.
First held in 1999, the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show has grown significantly over the past 15 years and now sees more than 500 exhibitors grace the picturesque grounds of the Cheshire historical estate. The event itself is held over 5 days and sees more than 20,000 flowers and horticulture enthusiasts attend the event each year and is renowned for its friendly atmosphere.
So, what did 2014 have in store for us?
The highlights of this year’s show included the Great Garden Carnival Parade which featured floral umbrellas, native butterfly people and toe-tapping percussion captivate the on looking attendees, workshops in the Floral Design Studio, Ladies Day on the Friday and themed gardens based on the elements of Earth, Wind, Water and Fire. Add this to the magnificent array of arts, crafts and food stalls, plus the beautiful weather the show experienced over the 5 day event and it really was a year to remember.
The show itself is presented immaculately. Entering the show you cannot help but stare in amazement at the beauty on show. Stunning displays of lilies, lavender, orchids, roses and any other flowers you can think of. From the show gardens to the magnificently presented displays in the floral marquees, everything about the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show radiates class.
Not only is the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show a spectacular day out for plant lovers, but for friends and family too.
