Flowers Delivered in Cricklewood
With next-day flower delivery Cricklewood residents can bring some traditional style into the interiors of the area's homes, many of which date back to the late Victorian and Edwardian eras. The region as a whole began to grow substantially from the 1870s onwards, when the railway's arrival made it easier to get to and from Cricklewood, but there are still plenty of open spaces to enjoy too. These include Gladstone Park on the north-west edge of the area, with some 86 acres of land, as well as the smaller Mapesbury Dell which is open to the public in daytime and used as the venue for annual Christmas carol services.
Gladstone Park was famously described by the author Mark Twain as being "within a biscuit's throw" of the city of London itself, and it is this nearness to England's capital that makes Cricklewood a popular place for residents in the present day. Cricklewood Pumping Station has twice been used as a film set, posing as the engine rooms of the Titanic, although Appleyard deliver a quite different kind of rose than that played by Kate Winslet on the big screen.
