We hope you had a great Easter bank holiday weekend. Maybe you were lucky enough to have some time off work or maybe you have been stuck looking after the children. We have searched high and low to find the best flower fun activities to entertain yourself over the next week, including activities the kids can enjoy!
Flower Ice Cubes
If you have been entertaining over the Easter bank holiday, find a new way to impress your guests with fancy ice cubes in their drinks. Using edible flowers only (See a Chart here) carefully pick the flower petals and put them into an ice cube tray. Fill the tray with water and allow it to set in the freezer. You can also add fruit, such as raspberries and strawberries for colour!
Fragrant Sachets
If you want to keep the kids busy, give them a pile of drawstring netted bags and sweet smelling cinnamon sticks, lavender or your favourite scented flower such as Hyacinths. Simply use a draw string bag from washing powder or for tea leaves and let the kids loose! These fragrant sachets can be used to freshen up drawers full of clothes, socks or underwear!
Flower Phone Case
This activity will require all children to be supervised, as it involves using hot resin which needs to be warmed up. All the necessary equipment can be found in a craft shop. See here for how to create your own pressed flower phone case!
Flower Lollipops
Pretty flower lollipops are bound to impress your guests or keep the kids occupied over the easter holidays. Again, if you want to make these with the kids it involves using the cooker and warming up the ingredients so make sure they are supervised at all times. Flower Headband
This is an activity that can be repeated all through the summer, for holidays and festivals. If you want to look beautifully boho, simply buy fake flowers, a roll of wire and green fabric from your local craft shop. Secondly, fashion a headband from the wire and wrap the green fabric around it. Finally, add wire to the flowers and tightly wrap them onto the headband.
