As we approach to the end of October, it's time to begin planning how to spook your neighbours with our quick and easy Halloween decorations!
At Appleyard London, we just love halloween! Bats, cats, mummies, witches and zombies galore.
Take a look at these quick halloween decorations for a party or simply just to give your  friends a huge fright!
1. Alien Balloons
Surprise the trick or treaters by attaching glowing balloons with faces to your door! Simply buy the colour balloons you would like and fill them with glow sticks. You can buy balloons with built in glowsticks from most leading supermarkets or ebay now too!
2. Bloody Handprint Towel
Available to buy from ebay and amazon, give your guests the chills with this bloody handprint towel! If you want to give it a go yourself, try using an old towel (with permission) and red food colouring. Have fun getting messy and using your own handprints!
3. Carrot Stick Fingers
Get creative in the kitchen. Freak everyone out with these spooky and edible fingers! Buy some small carrots from your local green grocers or supermarket, attach almonds to the top and stick the carrot 'fingers' in all your dips.
4. Vampire Teeth Napkin Holder
Keeping things frightful, be sure to buy red napkins and a pack of vampire teeth. You can use the vampire teeth as a napkin holder and it makes a great gift for all your guests too. It may not be best to try eating in them though! It could get quite messy.
5. Simple Bat Wall Halloween Decorations
For these paper bats you will need, black card, blue tac and scissors! Create a bat template or print one off. Cut around the template 20, 30 times - however many bats you want to make and stick them all over the walls. This is a great crafty task that your kids can help you with (be sure to supervise any young children with scissors).
6. Foil Faces
We love fun and freaky halloween decorations! Create creepy faces using foil and stick them to the walls. Tear off a sheet big enough to cover your entire face and carefully peel it off.
7. Ping Pong Eyeballs
Ping pong balls and googly eyes are really cheap! Find big packs of them on eBay or your nearest craft store. Use quite strong glue to stick the eyes to the ping pong balls and stick them together. Supervise any children with glue but it would be best for an adult to do the sticking!
8. Girly Pumpkin With Flowers
If you want to give a girly twist to your halloween decorations this year, order some gorgeous flowers from us at Appleyard London and fill a painted pumpkin. Check out our post from last year about the spookiest halloween flowers!
9. Pumpkin Cheeseburgers
Serve up a treat with pumpkin cheese slices. Find a nice template online and carve it out with a table knife. Apply the cheese to the burgers after they have been cooked through thoroughly.
10. Spider Icecubes
Finally, what better way to terrify your guests than with spiders! Purchase a pack of 'spider rings' available in all leading supermarkets and online at Halloween time. Using a large ice cube tray put the spiders in the tray and fill with water. Fill your visitors drinks with the arachnids and watch them scream!
