Summer 'Falls' into Autumn Fair

The Autumn season is upon us as the leaves begin to fall from trees, the nights are drawing in and the summer trends are put away until next year. However, there is no time like the present to begin planning for the future. The annual Autumn International Fair starts this weekend at the NEC Arena in Birmingham which will see some of the biggest brands come together to present their upcoming seasonal products.

The seasoned event is attended by some of the retail powerhouses including Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and CO and the House of Fraser, who are all looking to stock the latest trends whilst discussing unrivalled customer insight. The fair is designed to allow retailers to plan their Christmas, Spring and Summer products, well in advance of their launch. It is a crucial time as they are picking their new ranges of products for their customers, but if they get it wrong it can spell for a significant decrease in sales.

The wholesalers you will find at the NEC from the 7th to the 10th of September include specialists in everything from electronics to fashion accessories. Some of the names include: Adobe, Fizz Creations, Holly Rance, Prince Electronics, Urban Graphics LTD. In total, there will be over 1400 exhibitors.

Each year, the event selects one charity to support where donations will be made. Due to the large attendance to each event, it is a great opportunity to raise valuable funds for a selected charity. This year, the Great Ormand Street Hospital (GOSH) charity, which is one of the leading children’s hospitals in the UK has been selected. GOSH continuously works towards treating sick children, recording 240,000 patient visits to date. A truly fantastic cause and the Autumn International Fair will be placing donation boxes around the NEC exhibition, with all of the money collected going towards programmes that will benefit sick children.
