Summer is upon us, meaning long nights and cold drinks catching up with friends and family. To celebrate this years national mojito day, we have provided the best mojito recipe that you can make for your guests (or yourself). The Mojito you are going to be creating is a Floral Rose Mojito. This Mojito cocktail is made with ingredients such as real dried rose petals to add a little romance and floral colour.
- 50ml Rum Of Choice
- 1/2 Lime
- 3 Mint Leaves
- 1 Tsp of Sugar
- Sparkling Water
- Crushed Ice
- 30g Rose Petals (dried)
- 500ml Of Water
- 200g-250g Sugar
The first step to creating your perfect Floral Rose Mojito, is to make the rose syrup. Start by placing both the sugar (200g-250g) and water (500ml) in pan and bring to the boil. Next, add the dried rose petals (30g) and slowly stir and monitor until you are left with 250ml of syrup with a rich rose colour.
Cut the lime into small wedge-like shapes and add to a glass, with the mint leaves and sugar (1 tsp). Next, fill up half of the glass with crushed ice and add your chosen rum. Muddle gently. We recommend the classic Bacardi Silver. With its lively citrus flavours, it blends perfectly with this floral recipe.
Most importantly, stir and add some more crushed ice. Pour 25ml of rose syrup and top up with sparkling water.
